Inti Llacta Reserve was created in 1983. We are a multidisciplinary team with the objective to support the conservation of cloud forest and the implementation of self sustainable and environmentally friendly productive activities such as organic farms, mix crops, shade grown coffee, chickens and small scale fisheries . In this way, we aim to live with the products provided by mother earth, and we work to protect the forest as a retribution for all the goods it provides.

The reserve is a remnant of cloud forest ( 100 ha , 247.11 acres ) which is located in a bioregion known as the Choco , one of the richest and most threatened regions in the world in terms of biodiversity. At an elevation of 1700 m ( 5 577.43 feet ), the climatic conditions show them selves friendly for most of the year.
